FAQ

Held annually since 2014 in Korea and attended by software developers, students, and members of developer and startup communities, the Samsung Open Source Conference (SOSCON) is a venue where various stakeholders share their knowledge and experiences with open source technologies. SOSCON Korea, in 2021, was converted to the Samsung Software Developer Conference (SSDC)—expanding scope to not only open source but to other technology domains as well. Conducts of SOSCON has now been relegated to other geographies to talk more about open source software in their respective countries. In 2022, it was held for the first time here in the Philippines.

Following the success of last year's first ever SOSCON in the Philippines, this year's SOSCON focuses on using open source technologies in transforming data into insights that spur action. This 2023, the theme of SOSCON PH is “Inspiring Action through Open Source,” to celebrate how open source has helped a lot of people get the most out of their data.
