About

SOSCON

Held annually since 2014 in Korea and attended by software developers, students, and startup communities, SOSCON (Samsung Open Source Conference) is a venue where various stakeholders share their knowledge and experiences with open source technologies. SOSCON in 2021 was converted to SSDC (Samsung Software Developer Conference)—expanding scope to not just open source but also to other technology domains. SOSCON has now been relegated to other geographies to talk more about open source software in their respective countries. In 2022, it was held for the first time here in the Philippines.

The open source movement covers the breadth and width of technological advancements in recent years, and data intelligence was not able to escape this revolution. Data Intelligence has become an essential capability for organizations big and small--the way it is used to fuel decisions to move forward. While they say data is the new oil, open source technologies are the machine that utilizes them to create insights that spur action. This year’s SOSCON PH will focus on the intersection of Data Intelligence and the use of open source software in to power data analytics, engineering, and visualization.
